TEHRAN \u2013 Iranian director Mohsen Rezapur\u2019s short movie \u201cEaten\u201d has won an honorable mention at the 26th Golden Beggar International Film Festival in Slovakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The story of \u201cEaten\u201d is set on a mysterious, unknown planet, where a rabbit-like creature is eaten by a wolf. It meets another rabbit-like creature in the wolf\u2019s stomach and they begin a new life with each other, but that\u2019s not the end of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA surreal voyage into the outside of the inside, over and over again,\u201d the jury wrote in its statement for the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAn animated film with a logic all of its own, where you might be safer inside rather than outside. Until you end up inside again, and so on, ad infinitum. As so many of us say about relationships: \u2018It\u2019s complicated\u2019,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Produced at Iran\u2019s Experimental and Documentary Film Center, \u201cEaten\u201d has been screened at numerous festivals around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In March 2019, it won the special jury award at the 11th Tehran International Animation Festival, which is organized by the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Golden Beggar International Film Festival took place in Kosice, the largest city in eastern Slovakia, from November 5 to 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Grand Prix Golden Beggar Award for Local Television went to \u201cI Need the Handshakes\u201d, a co-production between Poland and Belarus by Andrei Kutsila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Saverini Widow\u201d by French director Loic Gaillard won the Grand Prix Golden Beggar Award for Production Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Austrian director Martin Winter\u2019s \u201cDay Release\u201d received the Grand Prix Golden Beggar Award for Young Author.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
German director Emanuel Rotstein\u2019s \u201cThe Invisible Line\u201d co-produced by the German History Channel was honored by the Association of Serbian Journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children\u2019s jury award for best animation went to \u201cThatching Eggs\u201d by Max Marlow from the United Kingdom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
