Iranian filmmaker Saman Hosseinpour was selected as a member of the jury at the 26th edition of the International Film Festival Golden Beggar in Slovakia, slated for October 21-25.
Other members of the jury panel are from Switzerland, Italy, Serbia, and Slovakia, ifilmtv.com reported.
The 27-year-old Iranian filmmaker has written and directed eight short films and, so far, he has participated in more than 100 national and international events in which he has garnered a number of awards.
Some of his short films, which brought him fame and participated in several festivals and won him awards, are ‘Slaughter’ and ‘The Other’.
He was also a jury member at the Early Bird International Student Film Festival in Bulgaria and the International Film Festival in Mexico.
The Golden Beggar festival is aimed at bringing the audience a rich program by holding workshops and lectures. It awards creative and successful films.
